  • Lower abdominal skin can be used as an additional skin graft in case your scrotal skin is not enough for the total skin graft inside neovagina.

  • In my experineces, this is the best non-genital skin donor site since it leaves only a fine linear scar like mini-tummy tuck or cesarian section scar.

  • The selected area should have a good quality of skin (no scar or previous surgery).

  • Having tummy tuck before sex change surgery is not recommended if you have a short/ shrunken scrotum and may need the abdominal skin for your future SRS.

  • The abdominal skin graft is the extra procedure and the current fee is 1,600 USD.

  • SRS with abdominal skin graft can provide a satisfactory vagianal depth (5-7 inches depth depend on patients'anatomy) and avoid intrusive procedure like primary colon vaginoplasty.

  • The length of transverse scar depends on the amount of abdominal graft required.

  • At the lower belly area, the elitical skin will be taken above the pubic area so that the transverse scar will be placed as low as possible.

  • The colon mucosa will provide self-lubrication in the neovagina
