Dr.Chettawut's answers for your questions regarding breast augmentation surgery
1. Cohesive gel breast implants
Question: What are cohesive gel breast implants?
Answer: Cohesive gel implants are silicone implants that are filled with a thicker material than standard gel-filled implants. If you cut into a standard gel implant, the liquidy silicone gel escapes from the implant shell. In contrast, when you cut into a cohesive gel implant, the implant itself maintains its shape and integrity.
Question: What are the advantages of cohesive gel implants?
Answer: The advantages of cohesive gel implants are primarily that they provide a proportionate-sized breast augmentation with a very soft and natural-feeling breast implant (better than the saline implant, in my opinion). The implant maintains its shape in an upright position (has a "memory") which decreases the incidence of folding of the implant shell and the development of rippling. If a cohesive gel implant ruptures, it maintains both its shape and integrity.
2. Recommended type of implant/ brand
Question: What is your favorite choice for breast implants?
Answer: The implant I used is the round shape, texture surface, moderate profile, high cohesive silicone gel implants, which is Siltex model from Mentor Coperation.
The cohesive silicone gel implants provide more natural feeling of new breasts, and no chance to leak like the saline breast implants.

3. Breast lift surgery done with breast implant surgery
Question: I have breast sagging, do I need breast lift before breast implant surgery?
Answer: If you have mild degree of breast sagging (nipple position is still above the under bust fold), you can have breast implant surgery to enhance the upper fullness of your breasts without breast lift surgery.
If you have moderate or severe breast sagging, I recommend you to have breast lift surgery (which can help correct the sagging of your breast and restore the nipple position) in conjuction with breast implant for getting more perky.I can do these two procedures together with the package price 5,500 USD.
4. Seek for bigger implant
Question: I have had my augmentation mammoplasty with 250cc.saline implant 5 year ago and would like to get a bigger one with 350cc, can I do that?
Answer: Yes, I can change the bigger size of implant for you if the existing thickness of your breast tissue and also overlying skin is not too thin. The procedure for re-mammoplasty for getting the bigger implants involves: 1.remove the old implant via peri-areolar incisions. 2. remove the old surrounding capsule around the implant (capsulectomy). 3. creat the new space to accommodate the new size of implant (if the old space is over the chest muscle, I will change the plane of new space to be under the muscle (subpectoral plane). 4. insert the new implant via armpit incisions or periareolar incisions.
My current fee for re-mammoplasty (either for new bigger implants or for treating capsular contracture) is 3,500 USD inclusively.
5. Nipple sensation after breast augmentation surgery.
Question: How about my nipple sensation after surgery?
Answer: I can successfully preserve the nipple sensation for most of my breast augmentation patients. There is only few patients (less than 1%) who reported the permanent decrease of nipple sensation.
